How to Make Big in Little Alchemy 2

People associate big with concepts like importance, intensity, extent, growth, seriousness, and size. “Little Alchemy 2” offers Big as an element to represent these same areas. The Big element also aids in the creation of many related elements.

You make Big using any of six combinations of elements. Yet, you must progress to a certain point in the game to have everything you need:

1. Create the Universe

The universe and massive objects within it existed long before humanity. In “Little Alchemy 2,” you can’t make big from the human perspective without first creating the universe and then humans.

To create the universe, you double earth-related elements to create the planet, combine the planet with fire-related elements to create a solar body and solar system, and then double systems until you’ve expanded creation enough for it to become a universe:

  • Earth + Earth = Land
  • Land + Land = Continent
  • Continent + Continent = Planet
  • Planet + Fire = Sun
  • Planet + Sun = Solar System
  • Solar System + Solar System = Galaxy
  • Galaxy + Galaxy = Galaxy Cluster
  • Galaxy Cluster + Galaxy Cluster = Universe

The Universe icon, a black background filled with planets, stars, comets, galaxies, and other space objects, and the words “EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS,” pops up on the screen.

2. Mold a Human From Clay

For humanity to achieve the ability to understand big, you must create humans. Some scientists believe that the chemicals found in clay might have been the basis of the formation of complex life on Earth, including human life.

To create a human, you must first make the Clay element. In nature, mineral clay forms from a combination of mud and fine stone particles. If you don’t have one or more of these elements, use the following combinations to collect them:

  • Earth + Water = Mud
  • Air + Air = Pressure
  • Pressure + Earth = Stone
  • Mud + Stone = Clay

The Clay icon, a compressed brown block, appears onscreen with the words “There’s wet dirt and then there’s fine, wet dirt.”

You must combine Clay with the Life element to make Human. If you don’t have Life, combine the following elements:

  • Fire + Fire = Energy
  • Water + Water = Puddle
  • Puddle + Puddle = Pond
  • Pond + Pond = Lake
  • Lake + Lake = Sea
  • Earth + Sea = Primordial Soup
  • Energy + Primordial Soup = Life

The Life icon appears onscreen as a DNA RNA symbol with the words “It finds a way.”

Now that you have Life, combine it with Clay. The Human icon, a figure of a person inside of a circle, appears with the words “The most dangerous game.”

3. Give the Human a Light Bulb Moment

Before you can make big, you need to help humanity understand it. You must create the elements for abstract concepts and the study of the nature or theoretical basis of knowledge, which are the Idea and Philosophy elements, respectively.

A sudden awareness or realization is often described as an “aha!” or a “light bulb” moment because of the comparison of the awakening of knowledge to illumination or the light forming in a light bulb.

You make these elements in the game by combining the following:

  • Sun + Energy = Solar Cell
  • Solar Cell + Sun = Electricity
  • Stone + Air = Sand
  • Sand + Fire = Glass
  • Electricity + Glass = Light Bulb
  • Human + Lightbulb = Idea

When you successfully make the Light Bulb element, the Light Bulb icon, a human brain with a light bulb above it, and the words “A thought given weight,” appear on the screen. Combine Human and Idea to gain Philosophy:

  • Human + Idea = Philosophy

The Philosophy icon, a thought bubble, and the words “The study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence of poultry,” pop up.

Now that you have Philosophy, you make the Big element by combining it with any of the space objects or systems you previously made such as Planet, Sun, Solar System, Galaxy, Galaxy Cluster, or Universe.

The Big icon, a white circle with four blue arrows inside of it that point outward, pops up on the screen with the words “When small grows up.”

What Does Big Make in “Little Alchemy 2”?

In the real world, the idea of big gives humans the ability to think about and express various important concepts. Without big, people would have difficulty making comparisons between a rock and a boulder, a hill and a mountain, a stream and a river, and a lake and an ocean.

People would also have difficulty making comparisons when discussing the growth of animals and plants. For example, they wouldn’t be able to fully understand and explain the growth of a seed into a full-grown tree.

People would lose common sayings as well, such as “the deep blue sea” when referring to the ocean or a dilemma, “the big tent” when referring to the main tent at a circus, and “the largest planet” when referring to Jupiter.

They would struggle to imagine continents in relation to smaller geographic areas, blizzards as compared to small snowstorms, and the vastness or passage of time.

With Big in “Little Alchemy 2,” you can create all of these elements and a wide variety of other ones based on similar associations. Collect 40 total elements!

  • Big + Soil = Land
