How to Make Sun in Little Alchemy 2

The Sun, the star that supplies our solar system with energy, heat, light, and other elements, plays a critical role in the development of a wide variety of elements on Earth. In “Little Alchemy 2,” you need Sun to make elements as well.

Although you can use seven separate element combinations to make the Sun element, you don’t need to perform a lot of complex steps.

This article is a part of LifeRejoice’s step-by-step ‘how to’ guide series for making Elements in Little Alchemy 2. Click here to check out more Little Alchemy 2 Element guides.

It’s actually one of the fastest and easiest elements to make via two of these options by simply building off the four basic elements of earth, fire, air, and water. If you want to explore the other options, they’re also included in this guide:

1. Add the Glow of Fire to the Sky

Ancient humans looked up into the sky and saw what they came to believe was a ball of fire. They realized that as with their own fires, the Sun provided warmth. Temperatures changed with what they perceived as the Sun’s movement.

They also associated sunrises and sunsets with fires and flames since the skies would often change in color to orange and red hues that in both clear and cloudy skies suggested flames.

For these reasons, it makes sense that the easiest methods for making Sun in this game involve combining the Fire element with the Planet and Sky elements

If you don’t have the Planet element, use the following combinations:

  • Earth + Earth = Land
  • Land + Land = Continent
  • Continent + Continent = Planet

The Planet icon, a blue-green world that features rings and rocks similar to Uranus, appears on screen with the words “A star dancer.”

  • Fire + Planet = Sun

The Sun icon, a bright yellow circle surrounded by yellow triangles that represent rays, pops up on the screen with the words “The center of our galactic party.”

If you want to use Sky to make Sun, combine the following:

  • Air + Planet = Atmosphere
  • Atmosphere + Water = Cloud
  • Cloud + Atmosphere = Sky

The Sky icon, a multi-shaded blue sky featuring three puffy, white clouds, pops up with the words “The domain of clouds.”

  • Fire + Sky = Sun

2. Alternative Sun Methods – Let There Be Light

Since the Sun was also associated with day and light, you can make Sun by combining Planet or Sky with the Day or Light elements and combining Day and Light. Given the Sun’s position in space, you can also make it by combining the Day and Space elements.

If you don’t have Day, use the following combinations to add it to your collection:

  • Air + Air = Pressure
  • Pressure + Earth = Stone
  • Sky + Stone = Moon
  • Moon + Time = Night
  • Night + Time = Dawn
  • Dawn + Time = Day

The Day icon, a concrete cityscape with a rising sun icon behind it, pops up with the words “The Sun’s gaze upon Earth.”

Note: Time is a special element. If you don’t have it yet, you merely need to collect 100 elements to unlock it.

If you don’t have Light, it’s an unlockable special basic element as well. You access it by combining the following elements:

  • Fire + Fire = Energy
  • Energy + Cloud = Lightning
  • Fire + Stone = Metal
  • Lightning + Metal = Electricity
  • Air + Stone = Sand
  • Fire + Sand = Glass
  • Electricity + Glass = Light Bulb = Light

The Light icon, a hanging green light fixture with bright light spreading down from it, pops up with the words “The universal illuminator.”

If you want to collect Space, combine the following:

  • Planet + Planet = Solar System
  • Solar System + Sky = Space

The Space icon appears onscreen as a window looking out at the universe of black space filled with stars, planets, comets, and other solar bodies. It’s described as “The realm in which planets and stars live.”

How the Sun Benefits You in “Little Alchemy 2”

Without the Sun, Earth would be a cold world with no life as we know it upon or below the surface. Since humans imagine certain concepts based on the comparison, early humans would have had difficulty imagining something as big as the Sun without it as a point of reference.

They would have never associated the sunlight and day with good and purification or the night with evil creatures and monsters.

The Sun also made humans desire to learn more about the sphere above the sky where the Sun dwells, which resulted in discoveries about stars, space, solar systems, supernovas, black holes, and many other solar bodies.

With Sun, you also discover elements associated with its influence on the sky. Without it, rainbows wouldn’t exist. Humans would have never had any contact with auroras or eclipses either.

They also would have never learned that they could track time based on the Sun’s position, its heat could be used to dehydrate foods and strengthen mud into construction bricks, or that its energy could act as a power source.

In “Little Alchemy 2,” you make these and other related elements with Sun:

  • Sun + Space = Star
  • Sun + Star = Space
  • Sun + Philosophy = Big
  • Sun + Container = Solar System
  • Sun + Planet = Solar System
  • Sun + Explosion = Supernova
  • Sun + Darkness = Black Hole
  • Sun + Pressure = Black Hole
  • Sun + Boulder = Meteoroid
  • Sun + Rock = Meteoroid
  • Sun + Stone = Meteoroid
  • Sun + Atmosphere = Aurora & Sky
  • Sun + Moon = Eclipse & Sky
  • Sun + Night = Day
  • Sun + Sky = Day
  • Sun + Time = Day
  • Sun + Prism = Rainbow
  • Sun + Rain = Rainbow
  • Sun + Water = Rainbow
  • Sun + Sea = Salt
  • Sun + Ocean = Salt
  • Sun + Meat = Jerky
  • Sun + Steak = Jerky
  • Sun + Clay = Brick
  • Sun + Mud = Brick
  • Sun + Algae = Oxygen
  • Sun + Tree = Oxygen
  • Sun + Plant = Oxygen & Sunflower
  • Sun + Flower = Sunflower
  • Sun + Fruit = Alcohol
  • Sun + Grass = Hay & Oxygen
  • Sun + Snowman = Carrot
  • Sun + Metal = Gold
  • Sun + Steel = Gold
  • Sun + Clock = Sundial
  • Sun + Watch = Sundial
  • Sun + Wheel = Sundial

  • Sun + Machine = Solar Cell
  • Sun + Deity = Ra
  • Sun + Vampire = Ash

Make Hay While the Sun Is Shining!

The Sun has been associated with more than illumination. It has also been associated with good fortune. To make hay while the sun is shining means to take advantage of good fortune.

With the help of this guide, you’ve collected more than two dozen associated elements. With those elements, your fortune has increased with plenty of opportunities to find additional elements.

With Space, for example, you can collect Alien, Astronaut, Light Sword, Spaceship, and Space Station. You can use Rainbow to collect colorful elements like Butterfly, Chameleon, Crayon, Magic, Peacock, and Unicorn.

If you have the Myths and Monsters content pack, you can even collect H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu. With Ra using that pack, you can collect Ankh and Book of the Dead.
