Step 1: Create Peat

Not known to many, but peat provides a crucial role in providing sustainable energy. Not only that, it acts as a natural carbon store, which means that it absorbs more carbon from the atmosphere, rather than having to release it.

Here’s a quick way you can create Peat in Little Alchemy 2:

1. Combine Fire (base element) + Fire to create Energy
2. Combine Water (base element) + Water to create Puddle
3. Combine Puddle + Puddle to create Pond
4. Combine Pond + Pond to create Lake
5. Combine Lake + Lake to create Sea
6. Combine Sea + Earth (base element) to create Primordial Soup
7. Combine Primordial Soup + Energy to create Life
8. Combine Earth + Earth to create Land
9. Combine Land + Land to create Continent
10. Combine Continent + Continent to create Planet
11. Combine Planet and Air (base element) to create Atmosphere
12. Combine Atmosphere + Water to create Cloud
13. Combine Cloud + Water to create Rain
14. Combine Earth + Life to create Soil
15. Combine Soil + Rain to create Plant

17. Combine Earth + Water to create Mud

You may also unlock Peat with other combinations such as:

• Grass + Time**
• Plant + Swamp
• Swamp + Time**

**Time is a base element that cannot be created through combinations. It will automatically unlock once you have gathered 100 elements including the 4 basic elements.

Unlocking Peat will also allow you to combine it with other elements in the game. However, all combinations will only result in Coal.

• Peat + Pressure = Coal
• Peat + Rock = Coal
• Peat + Stone = Coal
• Peat + Time = Coal

Step 2: Create Coal and Other Combinations

After unlocking Peat, you may now combine it with Earth to finally create Coal. You may also try these combinations to create or unlock coal:
